Mt. Pamitinan

Mt. Pamitinan

Mt. Pamitinan is one of the most hiked mountains because it became famous due to it's accessibility from Manila. It's been a long time since we planned to visit Wawa Dam and hike the twin mountains, for some reasons, it resulted to "drawing." Hiking this mountain is a bit challenging but will definitely give you an amazing and wide view of greens surrounding Wawa Dam and part of Sierra Madre. Also, the area is famous because of the legend; according to stories: Bernardo Carpio used his super power to separate this mount from Mt. Binacayan, as a result, there's a space in between them, where Wawa Dam is situated.

Cagbalete Island, Quezon

Cagbalete Island

In Nilandingan Cove, Cagbalete Island, we celebrated our 9th anniversary. Though, it's a 4-5 hours land travel from Manila, we chose this cove because we thought it has a big picture of beauty at its finest. From afar, we were greeted by the long stretch of fine white sand shoreline with the greens on the side. Upon arrival, we discovered that this paradise is not just about the shoreline, it also has crystal clear and cool waters, lovely cottages, and relaxing ambiance.

Solo-Backpacking: Tourist Spots in Negros Occidental, Iloilo

After my successful Cebu Solo-Backpacking, another solo-backpacking in the Visayas was planned - this is it, a solo-backpacking in Western Visayas. Language barrier wasn't a problem because Hiligaynon has similarity to our native language in Romblon. During my travel, I found out that the Negrenses are really accommodating and has a good sense of direction. In a simple question like: "where is it located?" they provided me a detailed instruction. In general, Negros Occidental and the province of Ilo-Ilo are Must Visit provinces in the Philippines. Sorted according to my itinerary, historical, heritage and tourist spots below were my destinations.

Antique Tourist Spots

Antique Tourist Spots

1. Mararison Island (Malalison)

Mararison or Malalison is a gorgeous Island. Before it became prominent and captured the eyes of travellers and tourists worldwide, it started as a fisherman's island, an island where the locals live using their boats and nets as their primary livelihood. Today, this island is open to everyone to discover and experience what it can offer.

Explore Intramuros (History, Guide, Itinerary)

I visited Intramuros and Binondo several times but I thinking am missing something in and outside The Walled City in Manila. Inspired by the question: “Hanggang saan aabot ang isan daang piso mo?” Our journey today explains that budget is not a problem to see the gorgeous artifacts erected centuries ago. Without a formal itinerary, we walked on the streets in Intramuros Manila.

Sombrero Island

Sombrero Island

Sombrero Island is one of the islets of Burias Group of Islets. Crossing the waters of Burias Passage from Tinalisayan to Sombrero was a heart-pounding experience. Not only that, as we were getting nearer to the shoreline,  coral ecosystems and underwater flora and fauna were visible because of its clear waters. I took off my pink sando while on the boat because my skin hurt, a sign that, for sure, I would have sun-kissed skin due to sunburn but it's fine, am positive that my skin will still recover after a week. Instead of covering myself or applying Belo sunblock before jumping off the boat to the shallow water, we just grabbed our cameras and proceeded walking by the shore.
