Malamawi Beach is a hidden paradise and the top tourist spot in Isabela, Basilan. It is a privately owned resort with a long stretch of fine white sand shoreline. The resort has a wide area with open ground covered with grass, coconuts, and other trees, maintaining a relaxing ambience. There are cottages for rent and a function hall. A store and canteen are available inside the resort premises. Also, parking areas are available.
Featuring Basilan - Solo-Backpacking in Mindanao
The Province of Basilan is an island province in the Bangsamoro Region. Its old name was Tagime, and it was named after a Datu who ruled the island before the arrival of the Spaniards in the province. Its name was changed several times until BasihBalan, derived from their legendary weapon called “pira”, which was made of basic iron and Balan, meaning magnetic, which was shorted to Basilan. Not just history, the province also hides amazing tourist attractions.
Solo Backpacking in ZamBaSulTa, Region 9, Misamis Occidental

What is ZamBaSulTa
ZamBaSulta is an acronym given to Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. That's the usual route; however, on this journey, I made a twist and created ZamTaSulBa. I even made it more extreme by including Region 9: Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Misamis Occidental, which is part of Region 10. Details below are my actual itinerary for 9 days, covering 7 Provinces and the independent City of Zamboanga.
