Catanduanes is doesn't end with the title "The Happy Island," they also hide stunning and gorgeous tourist destinations in Bicolandia. One of these is the instagram worthy Binurong Point, an open and wide area with a panoramic view of the pacific, gorgeous the rolling hills and spectacular view of the sunset. Why you should include this place on your must visit list in Bicol? Why not, it has a cool and relaxing ambiance with a cool sea breeze, the slopes of the hills were perfectly shaped by the nature, there' are gigantic rock formation, and calming sound of the waves can make your day a lazy day. This area is definitely a perfect spot for photo shoots, especially those pre-nups, because it is so romantic.

THE ENTRANCE FEE AND THE TRAIL | It is mandatory to have a tour guide during ascent, though, the trail is simple and well established, it has a combination of uphill and downhill slopes, passing through banana plantation and forest area. Guide Fee: minimum of 200 pesos. Environmental Fee: 20 pesos per head.

MODE OF TRANSPORTATION | At Puraran Surf Camp or by the gate of Puraran Beach, there are available tricycle that can be chartered. We met Kuya Arthur, a very  friendly and accommodating trike driver stationed at the carinderia near the Puraran Gate. Tricycle fee is 500 pesos. Kuya Arthur can be contacted here: 0936937364. 

Our Travel from Manila to Tabaco to Virac Port: Location, How to Get Here: Via air, Cebu Pacific has a direct flight from Manila to Virac Airport, ride a tricycle to the port area where the FX to Gigmoto are stationed. Via land, there are bus lines with direct route from Manila bound for Virac. The gateway is Tabaco City port where to can ride a ferry to either Virac Port or San Andres Port. WHERE TO STAY: We stayed at Puraran Surf Beach Resort. For only 450 pesos, we got a standard fan room, with a queen size bed with a common toilet and bath. Reservation is possible via BDO fund transfer. You can visit Puraran Surf Beach Resort facebook page.
