I am a Globe Telecom user since then, but I transferred to Sun Cellular for their cheapest Sun Broadband deal because I need an internet connection for social media, blogging and research works. Did my own research and I even went to Sun shop in Robinsons Metro East and tested their signal strength. It’s not the best but it’s also not fair, to make my story short – I signed up for their mobile Sun broadband.
I reside in Cainta, Rizal; after signing up I waited 24-48 hours for the activation of the sim card. When the full signal bar appeared, I easily tried browsing on the internet. The happiness that I felt the moment I saw the full signal bars ended and transformed to frustration. 3G signal indicator and the signal bar were both full but the speed was a disgrace! I would understand if the signal was low but it’s not the signal it’s really the service. Napapakanta nalang ako nang: Ang laking pagsisisi ang nasa isip kong ako’y nagkamali.
It’s really disappointing because there were chances where I needed an internet connection, like if I have an emergency and I need to report my absence in the office; unfortunately Sun Broadband signal is unreliable. For booking, usually Cebu Pacific, Air Asia and Sky Jet Airlines offer promo fares at around 12:01, unfortunately service is really bad even 2 to 4 AM where more people are sleeping. It’s 3:45 AM while I am writing this post but I am getting a hard time visiting Blogger.com and upload a 291KB photo with 1024 x 683 pixels size.
It is time to make a change, I am finally leaving Sun Broadband.
Suggestion | Before you sign up for any telecom services, regardless of network, especially post-paid with mobile data, never forget to try their prepaid services in your area. They might have a good service or signal in Mandaluyong City but you can’t be sure in Pasig City, although these two are neighbor cities.
